PRE WEDDING PHOTOS BY JAKE THOMAS PHOTOGRAPHY
For me, the best thing about being a consumer in the era of internet is having impartial people tell me what they really think about a certain product/service before I actually go ahead and purchase it.
Since I appreciate reading other people's review, I thought I might go ahead I do one myself with our wedding photographer - Jake Thomas Photography, Newcastle Australia. Wedding photography is really costly and for most people you only get one chance to get your photos right, so hopefully this will help some brides get it right.
In this case, pictures speak louder than words. Will post wedding photos in another post with my thoughts on the entire process.
Pictures were probably taken in about 20 minutes and we got the photos back the next day.

REVIVING THE BLOG WITH SOME COCKTAILS
Last blog entry was January 2012! Bloggers' got a new awesome template! <3
A mixture of not having wireless internet at home + plus laptop not working at it's best + not being able to blog on my android phone has kept me from blogging for more than 6 months.
What better way to end the hiatus than with trying to win an amazing prize at the luxurious Crown Metropol in Melbourne?
For those of you who know me, I'm not a big drinker. I'm usually happy to stick with diet coke or some cranberry juice.
But mix fruit with alcohol and turn it into a cocktail and I'm happy to splurge for pretty colours and yummy flavours. The best thing about cocktails as well is they look so pretty in pictures!

The people at Lumia however, have taken the cocktail onto the next level.
By adding some alcoholic spirits to an 18th century old technique called "Shrub" (used to preserve summer berries and fruits for consumption year round), Lumia has come up with some delicious sounding, very glamorous cocktails.

My favourite has gotta be the Coconut Husk Punch because its brings up the image of a relaxing summer on the beach.

Coconut Husk Punch
Appleton Golden Rum shaken with coconut syrup, ginger shrub, lime and pineapple juice and finished with a couple of dashes of bitters.
This cocktail's got some punch from the ginger shrub, nice tangy flavours from the lime and pineapple juice in addition to rum and dashes of bitters. Add a bit of coconut to it and it'd just be a little slice of Hawaii right in Melbourne, Australia.
Fingers crossed that Nuffnang will fly us to Melbourne so that I can have that yummy sounding Coconut Husk Punch and Brendan can have the cherry martini (take that James Bond).

1) Save more of my paycheck
2) Drink less coffee
3) Write an email to people overseas once a month
4) Play the piano more
5) Go running (quick walking =p) more
6) Try new food recipes
7) Buy quality clothing instead of cheap clothing
8) Be joyful, pray continually and give thanks ( 1 Thess 5)
9) Work at work, never work at home.
10) Lose weight.
